Snapchat reportedly generates 10 billion daily video views

Snapchat reportedly generates 10 billion daily video views
Snapchat’s users watch 10 billion videos per day, according to a report from Bloomberg. That is 2 billion more than the most recent numbers reported by Facebook, which were made public back in November.

In addition, Bloomberg reports that more than a third of Snapchat users post to the app’s daily Stories feature, where videos and photos can be viewed for 24 hours before disappearing.

The company is typically very tight-lipped about its numbers, but CEO and founder Evan Spiegel revealed in February that the service has more than 100 million daily users.
They spend an average of 25 to 30 minutes using Snapchat every day, and 60 percent of them use the app to send private messages to friends.
Facebook is surely generating more than 8 billion daily views these days, especially with the recent rollout of its live video feature. But Snapchat has a fraction of the daily users that Facebook has, which boasts upward of 1 billion daily users (and 1.65 billion monthly users).
What’s true for both services is that video views are sharply rising — both have more than doubled the amount of daily video views since early 2015.
