Teenager accidentally blows his head while taking selfie, posing with gun

A teenage boy in India has died after erroneously shooting himself in the head while taking a selfie.

The 15-year-old boy identified as Ramandeep Singh was taking a selfie while posing with his father's .32 caliber pistol on Friday evening when he accidentally pulled the trigger.
According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Manoj Kumar, in Pathankot, Punjab state, the safety catch on the weapon wasn't on.

Singh was rushed to a hospital where he underwent surgery but gave up the ghost on Sunday afternoon as his injuries were too severe.According to a report by CNN, statistics released earlier this year put India top of the list for selfie-related deaths. Out of about 49 fatalities in over three years worldwide, India accounted for 19 which is nearly 40% of the global total.

The selfie related deaths have since prompted authorities in Mumbai to impose no-selfie zones.Police will step if they see anyone with selfie sticks at high-risk locations, including the seafront, a popular area for young people who take selfies.

The news seemingly confirms that Samsung will be continuing the Note line despite the disaster of the Note 7, which was permanently discontinued earlier this month. According to Reuters, Note 7 owners in Korea will only have to pay half the price of a Galaxy S7 to get their hands on a Galaxy S8 or Note 8 next year. When Samsung was asked if the sa...
