Chelsea one of world’s best teams – Pogba

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has told MUTV that Chelsea are “one of the best teams in the world” ahead of Sunday’s game at Stamford Bridge.

Pogba, who scored twice for United in a 4-1 home win over Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday, said he was relishing the chance to face Chelsea despite the fixture coming at the end of a gruelling week that began with Monday’s 0-0 draw at Liverpool.

“Those games, playing against Chelsea and Liverpool, I think we play football for that,” Pogba said. “You have to enjoy those games. We will be playing against one of the best teams in the world so we try to win. It’s not going to be easy but that’s football and that’s what we love.”

The busy schedule has meant Mourinho has rotated players, with Michael Carrick impressively stepping in as Pogba’s midfield partner against Fenerbahce.

The France midfielder said: “A few players haven’t played a lot like [Matteo] Darmian and Michael. We played [against Fenerbahce] like it was the normal team, which is great.

“That’s what we need because there are a lot of games coming up so if you switch one player that player has to be ready and that’s what happened.”

Jesse Lingard was also on target against Fenerbahce, scoring United’s fourth with a fine finish, and he said: “I think our confidence is very high now and we’ll prepare for the next couple of days for the big game on Sunday.

“I enjoyed it last time when I was there [in February] and it was nice to be on the scoresheet. We drew [1-1] though , so hopefully we can get the win this time.

“We know it’s going to be a tough game against Chelsea but we are mentally prepared for that. We have the confidence now to go on and win every game.”

Samsung to give Korean Note 7 owners a 50% discount on Note 8

Samsung is offering Note 7 owners in South Korea the chance to upgrade their phone to a Note 8 for half the price when the as-yet-unannounced handset becomes available next year. According to a report from Reuters, the company announced the deal as part of an ongoing exchange program for the Note 7 in its home country, but there’s no word on whether the same offer will be made in the US. In a statement on Monday, Samsung said customers who trade in their Note 7 phone for either a flat-screen or curved-screen version of the Galaxy S7 can trade up for a Galaxy S8 or Note 8 smartphone launching next year through an upgrade programme. The news seemingly confirms that Samsung will be continuing the Note line despite the disaster of the Note 7, which was permanently discontinued earlier this month. According to Reuters, Note 7 owners in Korea will only have to pay half the price of a Galaxy S7 to get their hands on a Galaxy S8 or Note 8 next year. When Samsung was asked if the sa...
